Article (Explanation in Hindi)
Article का प्रयोग एक वचन संज्ञा (singular noun )से पहले किया जाता है, जो countable(जिसको गिना जा सकता है ) हो। Uncountable noun से पहले Article नही आता है। A, An और The Article है। Article दो प्रकार के होते है।

Use of A
A indefinite article है इसका प्रयोग व्यंजन की आवाज आने पर किया जाता है।
A का प्रयोग उस एक वचन संज्ञा (singular noun) से पहले किया जाता है। जिसकी शुरुआत में consonant (व्यंजन) की आवाज आती है
A kite, a monkey, a mango
Vowel (स्वर) लिखा होने पर भी अगर consonant( व्यंजन)की आवाज़ आए तो भी ही आता है।
He gave me a one-rupee note.
He is a university professor.

Use of An
An का प्रयोग उस एक वचन संज्ञा से पहले किया जाता है। जिसकी शुरुआत में vowel a,e,i,o,u ( हिंदी स्वर)की आवाज आती हो।
His father is an S.D.O.
She had an inkpot.
Please give me An apple
an umbrella
Consononant लिखा होने पर भी अगर की आवाज vowel आए तो भी ही आता है।
He is an honest boy.
(An indefinite article है इसका प्रयोग स्वर की आवाज आने पर किया जाता है।)

1. किसी अद्वितीय(unique) वस्तु से पहले

2. पर्वत श्रृंखला के नाम से पहले

3. नदी, समुंद्र,और किसी द्वीप के नाम से पहले
The Ganga,
The Indian Ocean,
The west Indies
4. दिशाओं के नाम से पहले
The East,The West,The South, The North
5. पवित्र किताबों के नाम से पहले
The Bible,The Gita
I read The Gita every day.
The Quran is scared book of Muslims.
6. नागरिकता सूचक शब्दो से पहले
The Indian,
The Asian
7. ऐतिहासिक इमारतों ( Historical buildings ) से पहले
The Parliament
The White House
8. ऐतिहासिक घटनाओं (Historical events) से पहले
The First Battle of Panipat.
The first World War
9. Train , plane ,ship के नाम से पहले
The Shatabdi Express
10. किसी ऐसी संज्ञा (noun) से पहले जो पूरे समूह की विशेषता बताती हो
The donkey is the lazy animal.
The elephant is the strong animal
11. किसी ऐसे विशेषण (adjective)से पहले the का प्रयोग किया जाता है जो पूरे वर्ग (group)के बारे में बताए।
The rich should help the poor.
12. Superlative degree से पहले the का प्रयोग करते है।
He is the most intelligent boy in his class.
Ritu is the tallest girl.
13. Ordinal number (संख्या) से पहले जैसे first,second,third,last,only.
14. जब किसी विशेष की तरफ इशारा करते हैं।
In that,the boy in red shirt is my son.
15. अगर German, English,Dutch, French, Russian, Greek etc languages के लिए प्रयोग हो तो किसी भी article का प्रयोग नहीं किया जाता है।
English is easy to learn.

उस राष्ट्र के लोगों के लिए प्रयोग हो तो the का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
16. अगर school, College,church temple prison,cinema,market का प्रयोग विशेष उद्देश्य के लिए किया जाता है तो the आता है
अगर school, College church temple prison,cinema,market प्रयोग सामान्य रूप में हो तो किसी भी article का प्रयोग नहीं किया जाता है।
17. अगर hospital का प्रयोग विशेष उद्देश्य के लिए किया जाता है तो the आता है
अगर hospital का प्रयोग सामान्य रूप में हो तो किसी भी article का प्रयोग नहीं किया जाता है।
My friend is I’ll and admitted to × hospital.
I went to the hospital to meet him.
18. Lunch, dinner, breakfast का प्रयोग विशेष रूप में हो तो वहां का प्रयोग करेंगे
I take my dinner at 9 p.m.
अगर Lunch, dinner, breakfast का प्रयोग सामान्य रूप में हो तो किसी भी article का प्रयोग नहीं किया जाता है।
Are you attending the dinner tonight with me.
19. अगर abstract noun का प्रयोग genral sense में हो तो वहां × का प्रयोग करेंगे
× Happiness is an essential thing
20. अगर abstract noun का प्रयोग particular sense में किया जाता है तो the का प्रयोग होता है।
We must work for the happiness of weaker sections
21. अगर material noun का प्रयोग genral sense में हो तो वहा किसी भी article का प्रयोग नहीं करेंगे
The jewellery is made of gold.
अगर abstract noun का प्रयोग particular sense में किया जाता है तो the का प्रयोग
The gold found in Kolar miles is of superior quality.
